Homebuying Process

Capital Homes is committed to making the home-buying process a positive, enjoyable experience.  The process begins with choosing your home and follows you through to meeting any warranty needs you may have.  There are 5 easy steps, and we’ll be there to guide you through every step of the way.

1) Choose Your Home
Your personal Capital Homes sales counselor will help you select the neighborhood and floor plan that meets your needs. Then a home site is chosen, and the building process is underway!

2) Complete the Paperwork
Your Sales Counselor will prepare a Purchase Agreement that contains all of the details regarding your new home and home site. Your lender will provide a Commitment Letter that says you are ready to begin construction of your new home! You may wish to contact Capital Homes Preferred Lender, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, to assist you with your mortgage needs.

3) Decorate Your Home
Choosing the wonderful options and amenities that will turn your new house into your dream home is one of the most enjoyable steps in the process.  Our professional design consultant will help you every step of the way, selecting colors and finishes to personalize your new home.

4) Meet Your Superintendent
You will meet with your Project Superintendent to review the plans and details of your new home. This important meeting allows you to ask any questions and get to know the Superintendent who will oversee the building of your home. He will be your contact throughout the process regarding the specifics of your construction.

5) Prepare for Closing
As your home approaches completion, your Superintendent will meet with you on-site to ensure your home is ready for closing. You will receive confirmation of the closing date and location from our Closing Department. Then, our Customer Service Manager will schedule a Home Demonstration Tour just prior to closing.
