Once selections are finalized, changes become limited based on the construction stage and product availability. Your designer will clearly communicate deadlines and next steps.
Can I bring inspiration photos or design ideas to my Design Studio appointment?
Yes. Inspiration boards, screenshots, Pinterest collections, and photos are all welcome and can be helpful during the selection process.
Which design selections are included in the base price, and which are considered upgrades?

How many Design Studio appointments will I have during the homebuilding process?
You will have two Design Studio appointments. This allows time between visits to review your selections, ask questions, and feel confident in your final decisions.
How long does a typical Design Studio appointment take?
Most Design Studio appointments last two to three hours. Our designers guide you through each decision in a focused, organized way that helps bring your personal style to life without feeling overwhelming.
Can I add a storm shelter or safe room to my new home?
Yes, storm shelters or safe rooms can be added to many Capital Homes builds. Availability may vary by floor plan and community, and your New Home Specialist can review options with you.
What features are included in the Capital Homes smart home package?
Our smart home package typically includes modern technology designed to enhance convenience, comfort, and security. Specific features may vary by community and home plan, and your New Home Specialist can provide full details on what’s included.
Can buyers bring in their own contractors during the build process?
Outside contractors are not permitted during construction, as they can disrupt workflow and affect warranty coverage. Our team is happy to discuss approved options and upgrades within our established process.
How often will I receive updates on my home’s construction progress?
You’ll receive updates throughout the build via your Capital Homes app. This includes photos, milestone updates, and next steps. Our goal is to ensure you always know exactly where your home is in the construction process.
