Why Fall in Oklahoma is our Favorite!
October 24, 2022
There’s lots of reasons we love living in Oklahoma and the seasons are just one of them. We get to experience all four and all the cool and unique things they have to offer. Whether it’s hitting the local pumpkin patch, gathering pecans for a home-made pie, fly fishing on our lakes or taking a hike in the woods… Fall blows in a variety of sweet things that we’d love to share with you and your families.
Naming a few isn’t easy, so I must give you the whole gambit, so you have plenty to choose from! You may have heard but here in Oklahoma we’re very fond of our college football rivalries. It runs deep in our blood and either bonds us or stirs up the trash talking! It’s all within good fun, but it’s a real deal thing! Tailgating, cheering in the stadium seats, cooking, and watching with friends… you name it. We love ALL of it!
Another favorite is the Tulsa State Fair. Fun rides, animals, crazy food combinations, bright lights, and music. Yeehaw!
Like schnitzel, hot pretzels, fresh apple strudel and German beers? We do! We do! It’s called Octoberfest where the cold beer flows, the music is German, people are dancing, and the fun never ends!
How about viewing the fall foliage from above? Visit the Balloon Festival for a dreamy afternoon amongst the clouds or from the ground. Perfect getaway for some family fun!
Pumpkin patches and local food is another one of our favorite Fall traditions. Small town charm, sweet things for kids to do like play with farm animals and run through corn mazes. Downhome charm with a local flair.
Love ya some animals? Guess what? Try trick-or-treating with them! HallowZOOeen at the Tulsa Zoo is a must see. Lions, tigers, and bears. Oh my! Get all your trick—or- treating done in between train rides and spooky tours while exploring the zoo by moonlight!
How about something a little more edgy? The Tulsa Spirit Tour or the Haunted Castle Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee are made for good ole spooky adult fun!
Now don’t worry! There’s more! Outdoors lovers… eat your little hearts out! It’s hunting season! Time to grab your buddies and setup camp and see what your chances are. Regardless, sunrises in the woods of Oklahoma and nights under the stars are some of our most favorite traditions and memory makers. Fire up the campfire, bring those marshmallows! We all know s’mores taste better that way anyways.
And if that’s not enough to keep ya busy… don’t forget about all your favorite fall foods!!! Chili, soups, smoked meat, casseroles, pies… tell me more!! Gathering local farm goodies to prepare your favorite fall foods is just as fun as actually making them.
So, this Fall make those memories, start new traditions, explore all the cool things Oklahoma has to offer and enjoy every second of it!! Life is short, but sweet. That’s for certain.

What Our
Homebuyers Are Saying
"The ease of not having to take care of hardly anything has been wonderful. A new home, a retirement community and peace of mind knowing we had a community of folks just like us sounded like a little slice of heaven. It has been 3 years now and we are settled into our daily routine. Giggling on our front porch, cooking our favorite foods, putting together puzzles and enjoying the simple things in life."
